The Hood lab is hiring an technician to begin Aug 2023!

We are hiring a full-time technician to manage our wild-derived house mouse colony and copepod stocks. The technician will be responsible for training and overseeing undergraduate assistants, maintaining our breeding lineages, and making sure our animals are in excellent condition, maintaining our databases, pick up and ordering supplies, minor cleaning, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience with wild rodents and/or lab mice (both, is a huge plus), strong organizational, and strong leadership skills. We would love a technician who is fully engaged in our lab group. We have 3-years of NSF funding for this position. Pay starts at $35K. A BS in Biology, or related field is required, but preference will be given to those with a MS. We are hoping to have someone start by Aug 1. If you are interested, please send your CV and an introductory email describing your interest and qualifications to Dr Wendy Hood at wrhood@auburn.edu. Review of applications will begin right away, so don't delay applying.
